Home; a House with Future for Bureau Beyond

Dutch art initiative ‘Bureau Beyond’ asked nine artists to design their ideal house. The ideas were presented in Utrecht, September 2006, under the name ‘House for sale’. Visitors were invited to vote for the best design.
In cooperation with NEXT Architects, Droog choose to design a home inside out, with the interior as a starting point for the architectural outside form.
> The products are like a mould for the final form of the house. For example: the house could be casted in reinforced acrylic fibre. The transparent material shows what is happening inside the building.
The idea is that home design should be about human experiences and personal choices. Home products create an environment and do not stand on their own.
