Do Add Short-leg Chair, 2000
In 2000 Droog Design recruited designers to come up with Do products and the results were shown at the Milan Furniture Fair. One of the examples was Do Add Chair by Jurgen Bey — it has one shorter leg, requiring it to be propped up with books or magazines. This chair transforms the conventional understanding of furniture, altering its performative function to enhance the user experience.
The name itself is the concept: by incorporating a built-in mini-library, the consumer becomes a co-designer of this unique piece of furniture.
