Lace plate by Gijs Bakker

Gijs Bakker’s approach was similar, except that it was totally different, for he added a lace pattern to standard glass plates.

For that he took a digitized lace pattern form the Dessailles textile company. ‘It looks and feels like a strip of lace is put on top of the glass, like a relief. ARC does this with a threefold etching procedure that I don’t know the details of, but it doesn’t look like etched glass at all.’
