Bag design for Mandarina Duck

Droog is commissioned by the Italian Company Mandarina Duck to design a series of technical bags. Several designers participate in this project and the company chooses Marcel Wanders’ concept.
The concept is based on an inflated shape with integrated belt. The technical development of this innovative concept takes a few years. In the end it turns out to be very difficult to realise the original idea. On his own initiative Marcel Wanders continues the process with the company.
