Bellflower Lamp, 2007
Carbon fibre, glass fibre, epoxy, steel and LED lights
The Bellflower Lamp is intricately crafted from a single strand of fibre, utilizing advanced braiding techniques that blend high-tech carbon and glass fibres. Its base, arch, shade, and electrical components are all seamlessly combined using a unique “overbraiding” process originally developed for the aerospace industry. Somers has designed the lamp to embody a graceful flower shape, adding a touch of elegance to its sophisticated construction.
The Bellflower Lamp is a part of
the MoMA and Centre Pompidou collections.
