Table-chair by Richard Hutten

Richard Hutten
Table-chair, 1991

The design consists of two separate tables: a small table, stool size to sit on, and a second table with a part cut out of the top to make the arm and back rest. ‘A table with a backrest becomes a chair. The table has not been designed but is a form that is already given, there is no need to add anything,’ — Richard Hutten.

The Table-chair is a part of the MoMA and Centraal Museum Utrecht permanent collections.
